How long will my mortgage stay at the underwriters?0hasyr2012-11-06 09:16:19
I got pre-approved for a 100% USDA mortgage last month and made an offer on June 4th. I completed all the paperwork with the mortgage company on June 10th. My realtor told me last Thursday that we were almost ready to close that the loan was submitted to underwriting. I left a message with my mortgage company to see where we were at and they left me a message only telling me that it was in underwriting. How long does it typically take in underwriting?
How long does a person have to stay in a USDA loan, before they can refinance with another mortgage company?1사람이나 사물2012-08-08 11:13:03
The individual loan took a long time ago when she was a struggling single mother . Now she is making around 80K a year and doing very well. Want to refinance to consolidate debts into one low interest loan low fixed payment . Mortgage companies will not touch any of your existing loan due to the fact that it is a USDA loan .

Question about underwriters through mortgage company?1Abraha2012-08-27 15:29:02
Hello , MedlinePlus My husband and I are in the process of buying our first home . We have already sent the documents signed commitment to the mortgage company . A few days a go I got a call from the mortgage company saying that the insurer needs more proof of documentation from us . The only problem is that I am currently consolidating my student loans and student loan states the company will not be able to give me a documented monthly payment for a few weeks , we are hoping to close on 09 November. MedlinePlus I worry that without this documentation we will not be able to close . The mortgage representative tells me I should be fine as long as they finally get it, but we had previously been stumbling so I'm a little wary of them . Does anyone know if this documentation from my school loans held until closing ?

I have a very average credit score, 689 I believe. I have some negative history on my credit report. My wife passed away in 2003. In 2005 I had a stroke and was hospitalized for a long period of time, became severely depressed and was in rehab for several months. . While I was still in rehab I wasn't sure if I would ever work, and actually applied for SS disability. When it came down to finally ruling on the disability I elected not to go thru with that as I was getting better and felt I could return to work. Unfortunately I let my concern about paying off my credit card accounts get the best of me and I utilized a well advertised credit service to settle my accounts. Some I paid off in full but I have some charge offs on my credit report. I am a self employed medical professional. I have a contract with a local hospital and my gross income is around $340K annually. I have an outstanding loan for a vehicle and some small student loans for my oldest daughters college education. I have no current mortgage, as I recent sold the house I own in another city. Will paying the charge offs now help my credit report and score? I have also noticed on my credit report hat I have some open accounts that I no longer use, tho the balance is zero on them. Should I close these accounts? Also since I am self employed my credit report shows no history of employment since 2003. How do I deal with that? Will this negative history be of less significance after 7 years, as with bankruptcy? Be very wary of credit "counseling" or credit consolidation services. I was NEVER told that this would reflect negatively on my credit history. I should have spent the money that I gave to them to pay off my bills. Now I'm suffering for it.
Stay In a Smaller House With No Mortgage, Or Move To Bigger With A Mortgage?1Harol2012-09-27 23:09:02
My husband and I have arguments because I want to move to a bigger house . We have a small house - ish to the city we live (3 bedrooms , 2 bathrooms ) . It is comfortable but not luxurious . Our mortgage is fully paid and have no debt other than a very small car loan . My husband wants to stay in our house because it says that we have the financial security ( no mortgage ) , but I feel like I want to move to something bigger . I want to meet the people's opinions about whether we should go to a bigger house and take on a mortgage or stay where we are ? Our jobs are pretty safe , but nothing is 100 % today . We pay our mortgage ourselves - not with the help of winning the lottery or family - now I think it's time to upgrade homes , but my husband thinks we should stay where we are for a few years , raising money and then maybe move on to something bigger. Our house is fine, but in the city we live there are many mansions , so the house is small for our area . I agree that it is good to have security , but I would love to have a bigger place . Can anyone give their thoughts and reccomendations ? Am I being silly to want to move to something bigger or financial security is now more important that we have in today's uncertain climate '? HELP !
How long does bad credit stay with you if you are australian?1Rachel2012-09-09 10:11:03
I recently discovered that it has held for seven years , but others have said only five years . which one is right ? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I still owe a credit card company $ 4000 + and have not paid since 2006 . I was ready to declare bankruptcy because my father was so sick he really had no money to pay this debt . I went abroad to work yet, but that did not work either. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I heard that if I have to pay the remaining amount of debt that will have to wait seven years for all the bad things that shake of my credit history . Is this true ? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus On the other hand , other people have said that the time is 7 years from the date of the first crime - I do not know what this word means ? I guess that means the date on which the first missed a payment with them ? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have no idea. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Will I be able to qualify for a loan for people with bad credit , even if they have not paid the money I owe to my credit history ? or will I have to pay first?

How long can this stay on my credit report?0dj2012-10-16 18:27:31
8 years ago that attending college was being paid by my employer . There was agreement that the school did not pay in advance , because once you 've completed a class of my employer sent the check. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Long story short , he had lost two classes a semester and the school said they never received my fax low class . ( No, not saved the confirmation ... ugh ) . If you dropped a class within the first week , you do not have to pay . I refused to pay because they never set foot in a classroom and sent them a fax . I do not feel I should pay for services not received . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Last month is 7 years from the date of the debt and that is still on my credit report as an " unsecured loan " school . Is this considered a " student loan " and never leave my report ? I have discussed this with the agencies. Any idea ?

How long does a car loan stay on my credit report?1Chaz2012-08-14 05:54:35
I'm about to pay off my car. I am paying far ahead of schedule. The original loan was 5 years, but it was worth in 18 months. I know that this behavior will positively affect my credit card , and my question is: How long prospective lenders be able to see what I did with my car loan ?
