And if so how? It can also be written as a credit ? or what was that other word ? Need some information about taxes and student loans please. Thanks to all who respond .

I do not think that your loan will affect your taxes as much as their schooling . Keep receipts for tuition and will go a long way in the form of a tax deduction . In Canada anyway .

If repaying your student loans now can take a deduction for the interest paid . You must submit the Form 1099 that tells you the amount you paid for 2006 . I've been using as a deduction in the last couple of years .
