I have a mortgage broker is saying that he can block 30 year fixed rate 4.875% (zero points ) today. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus But when I checked the current rate bankrate.com and today it shows something like 5.3% (30 year fixed ) . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I asked the agent to send me the GFE now to see if there are closing costs burden . ( They said no points ) . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I asked the mortgage broker as how I can block 4.875 % as of today is 5.3 % online , said he received a commission from the bank ( lender ) for the loan and that is to reduce his commission give me a lower rate . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Is it true ? I can trust this mortgage broker ?
