I'm going to a wedding in two weeks when my boyfriend is bestman . Unfortunately , although I have a good job , money is very tight lately . My boyfriend and I are going abroad soon after the wedding. We just had our anniversary and bought a present for you , plus Father's Day and Mother's Day gifts and birthday gifts for the family birthday July 4 and August . Besides all this , I just found out that my car needs some major repairs totaling over $ 1,000 ... addition to rent, insurance , student loans , etc , etc. .. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have no money to spend on a wedding gift . Even $ 50 will be a stretch for me at this time. I feel so bad ! Should I bite the bullet and put $ 50 in gift with my boyfriend ? ( They want cash. ) Or is there anything else I can do instead ? My boyfriend says it's okay if I do not put any money in his ( still signed both our names on the card ) and I know that a gift is not mandatory, but are good friends and do not feel too bad giving something ... MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Any suggestions or opinions are appreciated !

If they know you are having money problems and are very good friends , then you will understand if you get a gift . If you feel so bad about not having them, then they get a belated wedding gift when you have the money . They will understand either way.

If he leaves, as part of a couple, a gift is not expected , the gifts of each person separately .
