I would definitely try to fix the problem myself and seek help from a financial advisor as a last resort .
I did it once and wanted much to his office; ; , if I could have paid an additional payment each month, no need of their services, to start
. !
At least sit down with your bills in front of you and find out exactly what you owe. I would try very hard to take care of credit cards high interest first , as could be attached to them, literally , "forever" Try to find a budget and stick to it faithfully. Be sure to leave enough by itself to living paycheck to paycheck so you do not end up " borrowing" one of your payments and farther behind . You may end up having to take something extra for extra income .... perhaps mentoring someone on something you are good at ? Giving lessons in anything? What ever you can do to make a little more, without extending about yourself too . Maybe even some unwanted items that could be sold to pay anything out .
If all else fails , you may need some professional help .. perhaps through a mortgage company loan consolidation equity. Explore all your options ... but start with your own skills first. Best wishes.
