Should I move back home to save money?1sammi2012-09-22 10:10:03
I recently got a great job to two hours from home . So of course , I have an apartment in the same town as my job . After rent , utilities, food , car payments , insurance coverage , gas , groceries , and now student loan payments I will have about $ 72 left each month . This has put a complete halt to my social life . This is my proposal : If I move from home or with relatives , who live two hours of my work, I could save about $ 650.00 a month. My new car is 45mpg . Would have to leave at 5:30 am in the morning to go to work at 7:30 am and leave at 3:30 pm and be home at 5:30 pm . My main question is : Would it be worthwhile to save money ? I do not care to go home , but the trip is not even imaginable ?

Pay off student loan faster or save sooner?1jasmin2012-10-22 05:13:02
I wonder what I should do between saving money or pay my student loan off faster ? Here are the details : MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Loan Balance : $ 9,000 MedlinePlus Minimum payment : $ 300/mo MedlinePlus Interest rate : 5% MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Right now I 'm going to put down $ 800 per month for the loan should be paid off in less than 11 months. MedlinePlus I'm also saving about $ 500 per month. MedlinePlus I have a decent emergency savings too. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Should I put the $ 500 a month I'm saving for the student loan and have the loan paid in seven months or should I keep doing what I'm doing so that in 12 months I will have my loan paid and also have some savings side? MedlinePlus The interest is not too much ( $ 30 a month or so ) but if I could pay my loan will be a great weight off my shoulders . What to do?
Paid back unsubsidized loan in full, but still owe money?1ladyshrew 2012-08-26 02:47:03
I recently made a payment to pay off my student loan subsidized and made to pay back the entire balance principle and accrued interest. In short , there should not be any money collected by any unsubsidized loans , seeing that I paid everything. However, I logged into my account and says Sallie Mae still have less than a dollar ( the amount of principle ) unsubsidized loan to pay . Now I know it's not much , but it's annoying that this small amount I can charge interest overtime if I miss it. Sallie Mae does not allow me to make a payment of less than $ 1, nor do I want to pay the amount you owe. I just want to climb down to a rate of $ 0.00. I wondered if the loan interest accrues daily or monthly ? Because if you add up every day , I feel like I'll be stuck in this loop where I can make a payment to think that the loan will be completely eliminated , but there will always be a few cents of collection due to daily interest rate that over time amount charged interest and add to the $ 1.00 + I have to pay for all this and that month / year. Any advice , suggestions , and information on reimbursement methods that can avoid this situation ?

Do I get taxed on money I invested in my business and then paid back?0is this right!!!2012-09-14 12:48:03
According to a person I know who does the accounting, said the money I've invested in my business this year is not taxable . They said that since I lent the company money as initial capital is not taxed if the business is shown as a loan payment . So basically , all the money you get from the company last year would make my annual income = $ 0 The company also had a net loss . So I understand that the IRS is not going to raise a huge red flag that I'm claiming to have made any money in 2006 ? They said if we consider monetary compensation , then the business would be taxed and you still owe me the launch cash . If shown as a debt repayment , is not taxable .
Lending money to a friend... with interest being paid back.?0help me again(last one)2012-11-04 18:51:20
A childhood friend who I lend money to in the past wants to borrow $300 and we have agreed that he will pay me back $350. The interest equates to a little over 16.6%. The loan will be for approximately 2 weeks. Currently a CT resident and am wondering what is the maximum legal amount a person can be charges for this type of personal loan? I intend on having him sign a promissary note...with all the stated information included. Is ok to give him cash or should I write a check? Please help! For years I have allowed him to borrow without paying any interests however, I have decided I can no longer allow him to do that.
