I just received a report of my credit report online and do not see anything good. I have bad credit is all messed up I have a car loan that you never miss a payment I sometimes pay late and I have a credit car balance I owe . The problem is that in September , I'm going to school full time and you have to get a loan . How can I get a loan if I have really bad credit ? I mean is there any possibility that I form be approved because it's for school ? I'm trying to fix my credit at this time how long it take to get better ? thnks . MedlinePlus

School loans work a little differently . You should be able to get a Stafford and / or Perkins loan quite easily . Visit your financial aid office , and will be given a packet of eligibility to fill .

The bad news is that it takes many years to repair your credit . The good news is that student loans are designed with primary borrowers ( students ) with limited credit history in mind. In other words , if you get a co -signer ( parent or relative ) , then you will have no problem . MedlinePlus
