Active Duty vs National Guard vs Army Reserves...?0shakira.shakira2012-09-20 14:11:04
ok I read everywhere that the Army will pay up to $ 65,000 for student loan repayment , the Guard and Reserve - $ 20,000 . My Army recruiter told me that I would receive $ 72,000 and I decided not to do active duty and asked about reservations and told me I would receive $ 40,000 to repay student loans ... I'm trying to figure out why I would be getting much more 7,000 or 20,000 of all parties on the Internet says you can get student loan repayment ... very confusing .
How difficult is it for a NCO in the army national Guard to switch to active duty?1Izaac2012-08-12 03:09:39
How difficult is for an E5 or E6 to go Guard to active duty if they still have a few years left on his contract? How would that effect your bonus or reimbursement of student loans ? It is also different for the officers or the process itself?
Should I go air force reserves or army active duty?1Michaelia2012-10-25 09:41:02
Ok , I passed the ASVAB ( score above 50) . My recruiter told me that my debt ratio is high and it woul have to submit a waiver to get into the air force. I have to pay a credit card that is in collection ( $ 3,000 ) or pay 25 % of it and get my credit. Also I have a car payment of $ 499.81 and my half of the rent is $ 330. I usually take home between $ 650 - $ 777 every month for 1 and 15 . My recruiter told me that my credit problems for the care of the creation of a payment plan and you have proof that you are caring and work on getting my debt by May or June , and then put in a waiver or may not I will need a guess . I also told him I'm going out of my apartment so I should reduce my debt ratio. I talked to an Army recruiter and told me that my problem credit ( s ) would not be a problem and wants me to sign on Tuesday for the trial of the deputies . My question is do you feel MedlinePlus As would be better for me to wait and take care of the issues of credit and debt ratios and request the Air Force ? Or should I say hit and go active duty army now and get that money ? I know the quality of the air force of life is claimed to be generally better than any other branch , but the army will take me on as e -4 ( Air Force E -3) and pay up to $ 65, 000 for the student loan ( $ 10,000 Air Force max ) .... What do you think would be the best way to go ? ( ps- if you 're wondering why I'm running to join a branch ... is because my work can be removed on or before June )
I enlisted in the Army Reserves, but now I'm think about the National Guard.?0Addi2012-08-26 23:05:16
March 11 I joined the Army Reserve as 89B Ammunition Specialist . Some of my benefits are stability mobility two years (which means that you can implement for the first two years , unless something big happens ) , MGIB kicker 350 and 20k student loan repayment . I do not ship out until June 2 and was wondering if it was possible if the National Guard and has nothing better to offer to the school .

Marine Reserves or Active duty i need help?!?1aldwin2012-08-25 15:13:02
I want to serve my country , I have some college and I have 2 years worth of student loans to pay. I have already decided on the marines, but do not offer the program to pay for college. I do not want to sound snobbish but take care of my parent company will be fine financially when that happens I put in my time , although they serve my country seems appropriate . I have a boyfriend to take care of these loans and make 2,500 a month now and do not want to fight anymore. in the opinion would be wiser to go on active duty and save my money because many expenses are provided or as a reserve may be manageable? I know this is vague , but I know people have a lot of information. if you have more questions to ask to help me with a best possible answer thatd be great

Also would I have the luxury from u would choose the service before my destination ? I would go to Ft . Carson. If someone with up to date information could help I would be very happy . Also does anyone know much about Ft Carson ? MedlinePlus thanks

What's the difference between the Army National Guard and the air national guard?0lenny2012-08-13 02:14:02
.. And it would be best for me? I'ma freshman in college. A costly vary . And the cost is doing wonders for my parents, and even my sister, who also is helping me a bit. But I 've realized I can not always count on them, and I have to stop sucking them dry , and start doing things on my own. I was looking online at the "military option " . I know there are 2 different branches, but as jobs, wages , benefits, etc wise , what are the differences? Which branch offers the most money for college? and or repayment ? Also my most important national security with a double minor in cyber security and criminal justice. I'd like to get a job in a branch that offers something similar to it can vary ! Very quickly , I could not do the ROTC here at my school because it was booked , so I would have to wait 3 years for an opening. Something crazy like that . Also , not to sound like a D! Ck or anything, but I 'm not trying to make a career. I feel as if you are going to be an officer, who is in it for the long term. I have absolutely nothing wrong with service members that make it a career , my other sister is a JAG lawyer (Lieutenant Colonel) of the army reserves , and a civil lawyer with the NRA. She is making a career, but that's not something I'd do. Thanks for the replies / tips / advice.
Air National Guard or Air Force Reserves? GI Bill?0Whispering if the dependency 2012-10-15 05:45:36
I got out of active Air Force about six months after 4 years of service . I'm thinking of doing it part time. I can not seem to find an objective comparison of the two . I have the college loan repayment on active duty , so now I want the GI Bill . I want the best education benefits . I live in Massachusetts and ANG pays 100 % of tuition through a doctoral thesis which is awesome , but I wonder about the GI Bill . Any advice on the benefits of education or anything else would be great. Thank you.
National Guard or Reserves able to hold down a career?0Cherelle Taylor2012-08-17 08:30:03
I'm thinking of joining any of the National Guard or any branch of the reserves. I'm about to graduate from college and I really want to serve my country and large cash benifits and a steady paycheck every month to cover rent or student loans , but would also like to pursue a career in my field. I understand that the end of week 1 time per month and 2 weeks a year contract and most likely be called a road for a year or more to actively serve I'm fine with it. But between these times it may actually have time to get a graduate degree and continue my career? I've heard of attorneys who have their own practice and serve, but do not know if this is normal.
