I just turned 34 and now I'm having a bit of a midlife crisis . I 'm constantly thinking about how many regrets I have and how much the goals and aspirations that I have done . I've always really wanted to make a trip to England . ( I'm in the U.S. ) . I have to take a trip anywhere since I was a college student and it was something like a babysitting job . I have a job , but I'm not exactly rolling in money . I'm not sure if my work is safe or not . I paid my credit cards last year. Still I have a lot of student loans though. I'm single and I have no children , so my decision will not affect anyone else. In a sense , I feel guilty to enjoy a tour of all the talk about the economy . But in another sense , I feel like I 'm not getting any younger and I will never achieve anything if you just do not . You think I 'm being too frivolous ?

As long as you have about 6 months in cash reserves ( in case you lose your job) , then I think it's a good idea to try . If you do not treat you right , who will ? You are important , and you should treat yourself occasionally . Do not go and spoil yourself all the time . That would be irresponsible . But , an annual vacation to pamper yourself seems reasonable :)

Just my opinion , but I think everyone is entitled to a little fun , from time to time . I've never been on a trip , and if I had the funds available to do so , I think it would . Just do not put yourself in debt to. Have fun !
