In my case , having graduated in May my short term goal is simply to pay my student loans , but I can not say that in an interview . In the long run I want to go to law school , but again , I can not say that because it means I will not be there long. Any suggestions ?

No more do not believe this. They'll see through it . Short term: To acquire a stable position in which you would like to gain experience in their field . Start getting your feet wet in the world of work . Long term: its goal is to continue their education to possibly become a lawyer. Hope that helps ... Good luck !

You could say that in the long term you want to explore the legal field , and in the short term might be to grow with the company you are applying . only ideas, they can not say they are gold .

that question and tell them that. That is what they want to hear (but like I said...be honest). For other long term goals, talk about where you'd see yourself in 10-20 years (whether you'd like to have a family, own a house, etc.). It gives them the impression that you are just like them -- just want to work hard to achieve the greater things in life. Most of all....just be yourself and I wish you the best of luck!
