FAFSA is the accrediting agency . However, the ability of the school to use Title IV funds is usually a good sign . A school must be accreditated to be able to use federal funds . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Online degrees are a great way to be able to return to school . Of course , everyone has their opinion of them , be sure to do your own research . Traditional scholars often put up their noses and do not give them much credit . In order to be accredited and recognized by the Department of Education ( FAFSA ) a lot of research is done. Therefore, if it is a good choice for you , go for it ! Many large universities offer online classes / degrees . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus good luck ! MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I found this information for you ... MedlinePlus MedlinePlus High -Tech Institute - Phoenix is accredited by the Accrediting Commission of Career Schools and Colleges of Technology ( ACCSCT ) . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus The Accrediting Commission is listed by the U.S. Department of Education as an accrediting agency nationally recognized under the provisions of Chapter 33 , U.S. Code , And subsequent legislation . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Why is this important? MedlinePlus Formal accreditation by a governing body , such as ACCSCT reflects the continuing efforts of the school to achieve maximum educational effectiveness . It ensures that we are achieving a high level of educational quality . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus This accreditation also establishes eligibility for participation in federally funded programs , including student financial aid . Because of this eligibility, all online students who qualify for financial assistance may apply for federal loans and grants .
