Any suggestions on how to tackle my financial woes?3res2012-10-01 02:00:03
I want to get rid of almost $ 40k in student loans . But say I feel anxious and overwhelmed is an understatement. It seems to take me forever to get the debt paid. Moreover , still rent a room and I'm in my 30s to mid ! no children yet. I do a little more than minimum wage and finance my car. I'm thinking about graduate school , only to increase revenue, but spending is frightening . Not having my own home is stressful . I'm losing my youth , and I 'm not even indulging in anything . Not that I go on shopping sprees or leaving. Any suggestions on how to deal with this?
More Financial Woes - I cant seem to make a compromise!?0Shelly,k2012-10-12 10:37:26
So after dealing with the situation of borrowing money all ... (Another story). MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Well, now a new can of "frack" that has opened. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Little About Me: MedlinePlus 1. New baby (3 months old) married my girlfriend. MedlinePlus 2. I am the sole provider (not by choice) MedlinePlus MedlinePlus MedlinePlus So apparently my girlfriend (AKA Peanut) disagrees with me to save for the summer holidays when I could be putting that money into a savings account for our newborn? Before all this came I asked him to commit to me and said he wanted to wait until she began working full time for the two of us can contribute to a 529 plan for our school children. This works for me because now I'm paying not only for all living costs, but payment of the expenses of peanuts and their personal phone, car payment, car insurance, health insurance, clothing, loan student and spending cash. However, she feels that we have any extra money after paying for all our daughters should go to savings fund? The sad thing is that not even have a savings fund ourselves??? I think we should wait until both worked and both contribute to the weekly bills and living costs before you start building a savings for our daughter. She says she does not have to want more for my daughter and I do not care about their welfare ...? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus MedlinePlus My parents never saved money for me for my future college expenses. Instead, he spent his time and money by providing a roof over my head and keep food on the table. In addition to providing me with much love and care. It had everything I needed as a child and worked my way through college happily knowing that would not be here if not for this great mom and dad. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I'm about to break up with her, I can not always be at fault and that in all my decisions seem to be against my daughter and apparently I'm taking my baby for not sacrificing each of my hard earned sent in a savings account. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus ~ I feel like im about to have a break down!

Suggestions for people in bad financial situations.?1angelina2012-11-02 09:52:02
Please no rude comments, asking for tips. My husband returned from Iraq in March and came off active duty orders in July. Used to make pretty decent money in his civilian job, but now I get 40 hours each week. Now we are struggling to pay bills and buy food we realize we did not plan enough for this transition, but I really do not think it would suffer such a loss of income. We have 2 children and finally found a place cheap enough to send my son to daycare there ..... I can not afford to put my daughter on her because she is only 17 months and they are asking $ 175 a week for children this young. I'm looking for a job, but has no real knowledge, I go to school (online classes) and have my school bills of your student loan and all our house hold bills and rental car bills. I have no babysitter for my daughter, but I am looking for a job anyway. I finally told my husband to just get a night job, and if you are not home in time for my hours and I'm fired only have to find another. It 's all I can do. He is looking for a new job and a second job and I wish it did not have to work hard and is so tired already. We are both stressed all the time. I have panic disorder and major depression and am on medication that we can not afford either. I feel so helpless and can not image the pain and unhappiness of my husband probably feels. He does everything possible to make everything possible for us. He even sold some of his knives that were given as gifts during his stay in Iraq .... these were objects of sentimental value and I know it was difficult for him to do. Our pride finally broke down and decided to apply for food stamps, but it takes 30 days to be approved. And that are bled. We are behind on bills, I fear that we will lose everything we've been working so hard. My husband is still a drilling reservist, who has been trying to return to his unit orders, but said the economy is not really as you can afford. Does anyone know of anything the military or the government can do to help?
My girlfriend's daughter needs your suggestions - She is in Financial & Emotional Distress?1tiron2012-10-01 13:45:02
His mom and dad are part of the reason we are in the situation - His father will not help at all - . Your mother can not help MedlinePlus MedlinePlus She just entered her first year of Grad School through a program - which is now facing financial debt helped her mother put her in obtaining quick loans to his mother - Your credit score was 700 now due to circumstances beyond their control - which has dropped 200 points . She has tried debt consolidation - however - that is $ 500 - which , along with payment of the rental car and put it on - she has a part-time job - but she also has to maintain an average a degree and full-time status to remain in the program - his mother tells him to leave for a year and get herself together - however - if it falls out - she will have to pay your student loan of $ 6,000.00 in 30 days - it's like she can not afford to stay and can not even afford to leave - I said I would write to S / a , because I always get good advice - Thank you for your suggestions . How to best tackle this debt?1mmj2012-08-12 19:57:03
My husband and I have accumulated a large amount of debt piddly little. Most small things like a few hundred to shop local car repair , a thousand local veterinarian, a few hundred in the bills of lawyers , a few hundred on a credit card, etc. We live in a small town and everyone knows everyone , so let companies get away with making payments on unexpected expenses. All said and done we have less than $ 4,000 of debt. Our problem , we have large chunks of cash for only in these small loans. And pick on me because it seems you can never get paid. How should we attack? Focus on one debt at a time? Or out small payments across the board ? Indeed , we have a balance of $ 700 on our credit card alone. It is our only small debts that really takes an interest. I was hoping we would get a tax refund this year of decent size , we could use to wipe the slate clean . We did not . In fact , is another area we must. Only $ 160, but we have yet. Suggestions? Your advice is appreciated.
How to tackle bouncing of cheque though it has been paid in cash?0Rain2012-09-30 18:24:02
a month ago I had a check issued as security for a certain amount to a financier who loaned me a year ago. although I will return the amount for which I have a little in evidence and witness their own income from getting on the tape box . the time of the return would not have returned the check with him.As was known that he was a relative of mine who chose to cash the check for him, since he was supposed to leave the station day.now i know that never came too returned those checks and produced back to Tha bank has bounced ? What I can do about it now that I have been cheated despite paying the amount ? Now I realize that was stupid tough to trust someone else with check cashing .
What can I do to resolve my money woes?0I only care about you2012-10-09 10:28:51
Hi, I just wanted some advice on what to do. Im 24. Have a fairly new car when I was 20, took a bank loan of $ 20,000. The payments were well at the time. Moved interstate, needed money to, so that the bank offers a credit card (the worst thing ever!) Anyway, I ended up with a credit card debt of $ 4,000, $ 2,000 I gave to a friend in need, but ultimately does not pay me back (I'm an idiot), refinanced with a consolidation loan to pay for it, as I was struggling to make payments on the cards. MedlinePlus A few months later I knew I was going to lose my job, so I got another card with a limit of $ 2,000, out of work for three months so maxed to pay bills and rent. He found a job, and my boyfriend now, and was ashamed of my debt, which had ballooned to a grand total of $ 35,000. After struggling for 6 months we have sought help. Contacted Fox Symes and now I'm on a payment plan of 5 years to pay off all debts, which will make it more difficult to finance future, but it was the best option. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I work full time, my boyfriend works but just get 10 hours a week. We live well (only), but now we have a buzz on the road. My bank account is reduced to $ 0 after expenses each week and I'm so afraid I'm going to fail my future family because of my stupid mistakes. We need more money for us to breathe, but his MedlinePlus so hard! MedlinePlus I wish someone could help me clean my slate clean and change my life forever. Im so depressed and angry at myself for getting into this mess. Im a good person, just in a slump. I took advantage of credit as all of us and made too many errors .. I'm not so proud. Any ideas on what to do?
Starting up a small business to tackle my student loans?1Dallas2012-08-17 17:00:31
I'm going to college next year , and I'm hoping to start a small business. (Now I do not want an answer that says it's hard not to bother , I want advice. ) Now I'm a very good programmer , much software program and host it on a website full of work that gets a lot of hits . Now I am looking to host ads and donation buttons on the website to make money . I am also thinking of creating another website that also has advertising on it ( GoogleAds ) to be accurate and selling clothes (with another website that creates the product and then send it, etc. and take care of the product) . I also free advertising coupons to advertise these websites of the journals of my uncle sent me once a week as a Christmas gift . The question I have though, is that I set up a pay-pal account , and I was wondering is there a free Pay- Pal account, which provides and what about taxes , (I'm hoping to have a meeting with a bank, but if I want a lot of advice before I go. )? Thanks - full stars for best answer!

Current Economic Woes - Who's to blame?4Tadeo2012-09-18 09:06:02
I've been reading the tripe of Democrats and Republicans alike blame the current administration for the financial problems of this country. Let me set the record straight on the part of it. 1977: Pres. Jimmy Carter signs the Act Community Reinvestment Act in the law pressured financial institutions to extend home loans to those who might not otherwise qualify. The premise: Home ownership would improve poor and crime-ridden neighborhoods and in terms of crime, investment, jobs, etc. Results. Statistics confirm that did not help Question: Why is the government so deeply involved in the housing market? A: See below to find out who is covering his fault! 1992: Republican representative Jim Leach (IO) warned of the danger that Fannie and Freddie were changing from being agencies of the general public to money machines for the principals and the stockholding few . 1993: Clinton extensively rewrote the rules of Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac of rotation of the quasi-private mortgage finance companies in semi-nationalized monopolies dispensing cash and loans to large Democratic voting blocs and delivery of favors, positions work and contributions to political allies. This powerful combination led inevitably to corruption and now the collapse of Freddie and Fannie. 1994:. Despite warnings, Clinton unveiled his National homeownership strategy that broadened the CRA in ways Congress never intended 1995: Congress about to change to a Democratic majority to Republican, Clinton's Treasury, Robert Rubin, Department orders to rewrite the rules. Robt. Rubin Treasury reworked rules, forcing banks to satisfy quotas for sub-prime loans and minorities to get a satisfactory CRA rating. The rating was key to expansion or mergers for banks. Loans began to be made on the basis of race and little else. 1997 - 1999: Clinton, bypassing Republicans, enlisted Andrew Cuomo, then Secretary of Housing and Urban Development, which Freddie and Fannie to get into the sub-prime market in a big way. Led by Rep. Barney Frank and Senator Chris Dodd, congress doubled down on the risk, reducing the capital limits and allowing them to hold just 2.5% of capital to back their investments vs. 10% for banks . Since they could borrow at lower rates than banks their enterprises grew. With incentives in place, banks poured billions in loans to poor communities, often "no doc ',' no income ', which requires no down payment and no income verification. Worse still was the cronyism: Fannie and Freddie became home to out-of-work politicians, mostly Democrats' Clinton. 384 has great political campaign donations from Fannie and Freddie. Over $ 200 million had been spent on lobbying and political activities . During the 1990's Fannie and Freddie enjoyed a subsidy of up to $ 182 billion, most going to the directors and shareholders, not poor borrowers as claimed. Did it work? Minorities comprised 49% of the 12.5 million new homeowners but many of those loans have gone bad and rates of minority home ownership are declining rapidly. 1999: New Treasury Secretary Lawrence Summers, became alarmed at the excesses of Fannie and Freddie. Congress held hearings the next year, but nothing was done because Fannie and Freddie had donated millions to key congressmen and radical groups, ensuring no meaningful changes would take place "We manage our political risk with the same intensity that we manage our credit risk and interest rates, "boasted Fannie CEO Franklin Raines, a former Clinton official and current Barack Obama advisor, investors in 1999. 2000: Secretary Summers sent Undersecretary Gary Gensler to Congress seeking an end to the 'special situation'. Democrats raised a scandal like Fannie and Freddie, headed by politically connected CEO who knew how to reward and punish. "We believe that the statements evidence a contempt for the nation's housing and mortgage markets Freddie spokeswoman Sharon McHale said. Was the last chance of the Clinton era for reform. 2001: Republicans try repeatedly to achieve the fiscal health of Fannie and Freddie, but Democrats blocked any attempt at reform, especially Rep. Barney Frank and Chris Dodd, senator, who now run key banking committees and were huge beneficiaries of campaign contributions from mortgage giants 2003: Bush proposes what the New York Times called "the most important regulatory reform in the industry of housing finance since the savings and loan crisis a decade ago." Even after discovering a scheme by Fannie and Freddie to overstate earnings by $ 10.6 billion to increase their bonuses, Democrats killed reform. 2005: Then Fed chairman Alan Greenspan warned Congress: "We are putting the financial system at substantial risk." Senator McCain, with two others, a bill of Fannie / Freddie reform and said: "If Congress does not act, American taxpayers will continue to be exposed to the enormous risk that Fannie Mae and Freddie Mac pose to th
What to do with extra money every month- tackle debt or save for a down payment on a house?0Kodee2012-10-12 07:14:44
So here is the situation .... I have 24 years female and I live alone in an apartment . I have no credit card debt , but I have a car loan debt and student loan debt . Every month I pay 200 in the car , and I am obliged to pay 130 on loans , but I pay 200 a month . Equal amounts left at about 8k each, so about 16k total debt . Car loan is 1.9 % interest and student loans is 4.5% . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Now my question . I saved my 10k emergency fund , it can not touch . Now, every month I have about 800 left after all bills and expenses , and wondered if I reserve for a house down payment, or to deal with debt ? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I was saving all 800 per month for a house down payment. I would really like to have a condo / small house within two years . Is this a good decision ? Because if only 300-400 are saved and used the rest of the debt , you're talking more like 5 years for a house . I wish I had some property , while the prices are very good . My credit is excellent , above 750. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus What do you think ?
