I have good credit , but I'm in a slump , I need money fast , but I hear certain types of loans can affect your credit . Is this true ?

Only if you are late paying again. Use it to pay bills and make payments on time to them . It will improve your credit.

Any type of loan , as long as you are not behind on your payments , you must make up your credit score . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus On a side note ... I had a loan from my credit union about 3 years ago and does not even appear on my credit report .
