All my online banking / credit card / loan accounts , etc. , have begun requiring choose one of the security questions . The options that I received as security Qestions are : What is the maiden name of his mother ? What is the first name of his nephew ? and What is your paternal grandmothers name first? A few more , but they all basically revolve around the names of people , etc. I'm sure everyone is familliar with what I'm talking about. I have a real problem with these questions ! Anyone in your family knows all the answers ! Also, many people involved in genealogy and family share with relatives tress distantly related, and some of them even post on the Internet , where they are available for anyone . I searched through the BBB , and are rated A. However, under the same name and address , have another list that is not rated . The Sec of State in Florida (where registered ) has records of the (many ) , but none of them is currant past 2000. I do not know if I could even get a mortgage , but I'm tired of paying $ 700 in rent for something that is not mine . My wife and I love the house we rented , but it will not be ours. Ok , here's the deal . I am closing my business and have funded the equiptment and have three years left to pay . The equiptment is not in high demand right now and I'm getting offers from 6 - 10k , but I owe about 40k. The loan is secured by a guarantee , a family member who did not want to have anything happen as the bank coming after them . I am wanting to call the lender and ask if they can come down on the payment , then I will sell to the highest bidder equiptment and I pay the rest myself (which sucks, but is necessary to protect the co -signer ) on the next 3 years ... Back- story : I'm trying to "setup " Skype to work on my laptop and PSPGo so you can reduce the amount of money I spend on phone calls , but I need a credit card for the monthly plan . I have no credit history , and I want to start using Skype ASAP. I did not realize that normal credit cards are almost impossible to get if you have no credit history , and the creation of a loan will be long-term (waiting to accumulate credit history actually w / loan plus then wait for the credit card application process) . I found that my only option is to create a secured credit card . My only problem is I'm not sure if I can get a co - applicant. I'm in college and asked my whole family ( including family ) if they would cosigning private loans and understandable with the economy , all said no . As a result now I have to work more to pay for my college that I would have done if they would co-signer.
