I decided to sell some jewelry and an old Olympus camera to my local pawn shop . I've never been to one before and I do not know what to expect.
I separate the gems in plastic bags by category : earrings , pendants , bracelets, etc.
Some of the jewelry is silver , some is in yellow gold and white gold is true. They are separated by metal. Should they be?
What about the things that writing is so small I can not even say whether gold , silver, or something else.
Some of the jewelry is the diamond , while another is Czech Republic . This material was purchased for years and years and now I know what's real and what is false. Do you think I was going to cheat and tell me that something is CZ, when in fact diamond ?
In addition , jewelry has been used by some to be tarnished . Do I need to clean myself before taking it to the pawn shop ? I have no silver cleaner but I have seen that the use of baking in the sun line in clean hot water dissolves silver. I've never cleaned my jewelry before - the water, and just heat and a toothbrush . Do the cleaning before bringing it to a pawn shop need ?
I understand that I will have very little to what I'm bringing , but hardly used jewelry and really needed the money as soon as possible to pay the bills .
Additionally, you can get cash the same day you bring the jewelry sold ?
I have the intention to sell the jewelry not pawn or lend it.
