How do I file bankruptcy in Southern California and what type should I file?0Meli2012-09-18 16:33:06
Hi. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have a very good credit score. I've never made a late payment on anything in my life. However, I am anticipating disaster and see no way out of it. My debt is about 17K in credit cards and student loans about 10 km so that a total of 27K. I'm not worried about student loans, and I'm at school and what they are currently "on hold" until the end and when I am expected to pay them only as $ 110 per month for ten years. But my credit cards are getting worse and worse and the only way I can make myself stop relying on them is to kill them. Unfortunately I have almost zero income (about $ 400 per month) and I'm in college and living with the mother. I have 24 years. This is very sad, I know, but I think it has to present soon. It's a shame because my credit score is 720. I just leased a new car, which is under my name, but again, the family supports me. So ... I think I should file for bankruptcy (Chapter 7 is what I'm thinking) and just live off what I make for thew next ten years. I have nothing of value, and in the morning the lease for my mom, and also want to know if they will take my car when and if the. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Please know that everyone says it is a "last resort." I'm seeing it as such. So if it comes to this, what is the best way to go about filing and hoe much it will cost me financially and also how long it takes? Will my debts be cleaned? I heard that student loans do not go away, which is fine by me. Your credit cards that are about to crush me. I need real advice, not only criticizes worthless empty. So please ONLY RESPOND IF POLITE RELIABLE ADVICE. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thank you guys. Happy holidays.
Would you file bankruptcy if you were in my financial situation?1Stephanique2012-11-04 21:33:02
Basically this is my offer ... MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have lots of credit cards. Over $ 30k. I'm not here to make people tell me I should not have this debt. I know. Some of it (at least $ 10K) is my ex-wife. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Unfortunately, I lost a good job in 2008 making $ 53 K a year (40 hours per week), and I've never been able to find another job doing this kind of money. At that point, I still had the income of my ex-wife as well, and we were making a total of $ 85 K per year. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus The credit card debt started after I lost my job well. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I only make $ 30k per year now in my main job working 40 hours a week. I had to get a second job MedlinePlus bills to pay another year where I make $ 15 kA working another 25 to 35 hours a week. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Now I can pay my bills, but I have enough time to take a personal life. My personal life is important because I just went through a divorce. She tricked me. My ex-wife ran some credit cards, and I got stuck with them. It's too late for her to help pay nothing now. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus As I work hard, I have hard time meeting women, and I am becoming quite lonely working all the time. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus No children from previous marriage. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have an apartment he bought in 2007 for $ 130k. Today it is only worth $ 100k. I still owe $ 125k on it, so it can not be sold without a short sale. I can not refinance to a lower interest rate or since I owe more than it's worth. Payments for the first MTG, MTG second and maintenance fees totaling about $ 1100 per month. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have not missed a payment on anything, but I'm just saving a few hundred a month after all the mortgage payments and credit card payments. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I could take 6 to 10 years to repay the entire credit card debt if I can not continue to increase my income. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have no other debt. No student loans. No car loans. My car should easily last another five years. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus If I had the second place, I could probably qualify for Chapter 7 bankruptcy and also walk from the apartment and start over. I would have no choice but to file for bankruptcy with only my usual work as I can not pay all the bills without income 2. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I can make enough money from my job and independent business side to pay my bills easily without credit. I would rent a cheap apartment and run my side business in the evenings. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Should I keep working my butt off my personal life that I do not have to file for bankruptcy? What would you do?
Should I file Bankruptcy in my current financial situation?1gracey2012-08-09 15:52:03
I'm almost exactly $ 200,000.00 dollars in debt and I am single with an income and earn about $ 2,200.00 per month. The highest paying job I had after 5 years in college was $ 19.00 an hour in which he worked for two years before being fired. Since then , I have not been able to get a really good job to pay with my career. Here are my dues : $ 16,000,000 (and counting ) to the IRS. After I bought my house , the IRS stopped working with me, and everything was done to all the threats with which to answer each question with " I see you have a house, do not have to work with you, you can simply put the tax burden at against your home ) what they did. I am desperate to get out from under this debt and I have heard stories about people making ridiculous solution offered by the IRS and pay pennies on the dollar, but the only settlement that gives me is around $ 15,900.00 ( reduction of $ 100) If I pay immediately. And this amount is of $ 7,000.00 and the rest are the penalties and fines. I owe $ 85,000.00 in my house I owe $ 14,000.00 in medical bills I owe $ 13,000.00 in credit card bills i owe $ 5,000.00 in several bills I owe the utility $ 2,500.00 Sallie Mae I (I had my son consolidation loans ) $ 70,000.00 . I can not afford any of them right now , besides my house and my payment is $ 832.00 per month. I also live away from home out of state and I have to pay $ 400.00 for an efficiency. Should I declare bankruptcy ? What chapter should I file and how do you think will help me ?

Would you file bankruptcy if you were $32K in debt?1Wellness 22012-10-02 12:32:02
I have 46 years of age. I owe $ 757/month in credit card debt , five creditors . I'm unemployed and now is the perfect opportunity to file bankruptcy when my income is low enough to qualify for it. I'm selling my house bare because I'm unemployed and I'm moving back to my dad . I hope to get a job soon . With what I pay in my career , I will be able to double my monthly payments on credit card while living with my dad , but I'll never pay them only doubling up on them . Consumer Credit Counseling I hear is really bad , kind of scammy . Be bankruptcy could ruin me get a car loan , a home loan , or even get a job . However, I'll never be able to get out of debt if I pay $ 757/month for my credit cards . It will be difficult for me to buy a car and rent a place to live , because much . Thank you.

I am a school teacher aged 28 in North Carolina . I make $ 36k/year . I have 5 charged credit cards totaling about $ 5k. I have $ 45k in student loans in deferment while I finish my masters. I have $ 13.5K car repo on my credit. I just do it on my salary and borrow a car from my parents. I have to get them this time with the car again and buy my own car ? But I live on my own and can not be really afford the payments or, and I doubt you can get a loan anyway . This is stressing me so badly and I want to go so you can start living again. I am in debt, should I ignore those creditor and collection calls; file bankruptcy; or try to repay the debt?1tera2012-10-06 07:49:02
I am a 24 year old in California who is currently unemployed . I am a full time student and have less than $ 1,000 coming in every month. I have about $ 15 - $ 20k in unsecured credit card that I paid for 6-12 months. Also I have a secured car loan of $ 25k , but luckily , I am able to pay every month on time. I get phone calls every day , but have ignored them all. Since my credit has gone down the drain , I still miss those phone calls and have canceled my debt ? Or should I try to talk to the creditor agency / collection and try to pay ? You should consult with a debt consolidation agency ? Finally , in case of bankruptcy even be an option for me ? I would be grateful for any advice given ... thank you!
