Is it easier living a life with just using Cash and paying your bills with money orders?0beby2012-11-01 21:38:10
I work with a guy who's probably in his early 40's, single, lives in a 1br apartment. Drives an older paid for car that he just has to carry liability insurance on(he's always paid cash for all his cars he told me). Doesn't have any credit cards and doesn't even have a checking account so he gets his pay check direct deposited in a savings account. When he gets paid, he goes to the bank. Takes out enough cash for 2 weeks(divides them into envelopes) and takes cash out to pay his bills, goes over to Walmart and gets money orders for his bills. He told me doesn't believe in credit cards or car loans, some people think it weird but I'm starting to think maybe he's got the right idea.
Need Help with saving money and paying bills! Can Someone Help me????0Finch2012-09-14 00:45:05
I have 20 years of age and at least 8,000 in medical debt. I had Medicaid, but I give off when he turns 18. I think their was a way to keep medicaid to show proof that I was in school and elsewhere but I was too lazy to do it. I've been in college for 3 years and have since accumulated 8,000 hospital bill go to the emergency room. A bill for 3500 was for an ambulance to come and get me in the hospital for respiratory problems. My thing is I can do with this debt and how do I get rid of it. Do not tell me anything about how to get health insurance because they can afford it nor can my mom. Do not know my father and campus life. My mom has 5 other children to take care of that is receiving Medicaid, so I will not put pressure on it to pay my medical bills or get insurance for me. Trying to work and go to school, but it did not work because I was failing my classes. Classes or too expensive, so I will not waste my precious time ot wage job at some stupid mimunal school failure. I'm not a person who can do too many things at once. My question is how I can do something about the debt, and get a job. MedlinePlus I'm trying to get into medical school and was working class and not an option unless you leave school and get a job, then it might work. If I so much that could well leave my classes because it takes all my time and I fell. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus my question is what I can do about it, is I can as I am a college student who has no insurance? with all this medical debt. I have four credit cards and all are important over 1000 credit limits. paid and save. I can check my credit report and is perfect except medical bills. I have no lates repo or anything in my report. My son is shown but not taken into account until the end of school in eight years. I have a car loan on my credit report that my aunt is worth to drive and has always been paid on time, in fact, I have only one more year for that. So in a year I'll have a car loan paid in my report and more than 6,000 in credit that is avaible and paid in full on time with payments. I feel bad because I could not use my card to pay the debt, but do not want to use credit to pay the debt that will soon be too much debt. I think it's like most Americans are in debt up to your knee and I do not wanna be one of those people. It's bad enough when I finish school I will have atleast 150,000 in student loan debt, but which can be paid over a period of years after becoming a doctor in 8 years
Why can't I just use cash and stop paying my credit card bills?6Beverly2012-09-27 21:56:02
After more than 10 years of just spinning my wheels trying to pay the credit card debt (we will not discuss how I got into this mess . 'm Not extravagant in any manner or form . Single mom just trying to survive and progress observations of judgment back unless you've walked a mile or less in my shoes ) I have decided that in the coming months I will let my good credit down the crapper and give up . I'm going to an effective all I really do not care about the need for credit again. I have the discipline to save and without the $ 1000 a month in minimum payments that should be able to save up well . My question is if I can continue paying my car (not a problem) and I pay my student loan what will happen?

How much money should you have left over each month after paying bills?5Tabby2012-09-20 14:21:04
I asked this question once, but I think it came out clearly . I'm looking at the apartments , after taxes are around $ 1600 per month. After paying rent, utilities , grocerys get the gas for my car, my car insurance , pay my student loan, Internet access and pay my share of my health insurance for the work to be about 200 -300 left over each month . You could probably bank about $ 200 and still have about $ 100 a month left for the "extras " . Does this seem about right or am I living too expensive for what I do? I still listen to " bank" 10% of his salary from the top and it would only be $ 160 and am thinking about banking $ 200 and still have some left . In addition, one of the concerns that people bring up is what I will do in the event of an emergency , but I have a years worth of expensives in a savings account for use if there was something like losing my job or my car decompose. Do you think I 'm right or toward the debt? Thanks for your help!

Do you feel life would be a lot easier?1bolometric2012-10-11 01:35:02
When you have a lot of money ? You do not necessarily have to be mega - rich . Although it would be a great help too , but you can do just as well with just a little more than enough to live . You make enough so you do not have to get by paycheck to paycheck . You make enough so you do not have to be stressed and depressed trying to figure out how you will keep up with the bills, pay the rent , house note , car note , and keep food on the table for you and your family. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus IMO I feel life would be much better if I had more money to take care of my responsibilities . Surely you could use that money now especially with all the student loan debt can not afford to pay . That and other debts 'm stuck with a few more years . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I can not wait to get a better paying job somewhere.
What do you do if the individuals responsible for paying the bills are always "losing" the money?1Kaleb2012-10-16 16:30:02
is well spent before getting the tickets are paid , actually lost , stolen or borrowed no refund . then, the only money left is to go towards bills instead of providing things that the family needs ... even Christmas gifts for children.
