How do I file bankruptcy in Southern California and what type should I file?0Meli2012-09-18 16:33:06
Hi. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I have a very good credit score. I've never made a late payment on anything in my life. However, I am anticipating disaster and see no way out of it. My debt is about 17K in credit cards and student loans about 10 km so that a total of 27K. I'm not worried about student loans, and I'm at school and what they are currently "on hold" until the end and when I am expected to pay them only as $ 110 per month for ten years. But my credit cards are getting worse and worse and the only way I can make myself stop relying on them is to kill them. Unfortunately I have almost zero income (about $ 400 per month) and I'm in college and living with the mother. I have 24 years. This is very sad, I know, but I think it has to present soon. It's a shame because my credit score is 720. I just leased a new car, which is under my name, but again, the family supports me. So ... I think I should file for bankruptcy (Chapter 7 is what I'm thinking) and just live off what I make for thew next ten years. I have nothing of value, and in the morning the lease for my mom, and also want to know if they will take my car when and if the. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Please know that everyone says it is a "last resort." I'm seeing it as such. So if it comes to this, what is the best way to go about filing and hoe much it will cost me financially and also how long it takes? Will my debts be cleaned? I heard that student loans do not go away, which is fine by me. Your credit cards that are about to crush me. I need real advice, not only criticizes worthless empty. So please ONLY RESPOND IF POLITE RELIABLE ADVICE. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thank you guys. Happy holidays.

Should I file bankruptcy?2hehehehehehehe2012-08-10 19:09:03
I have 21 years and must graduate from high school next spring. The first two years at school, I went crazy with credit cards . Now I have about $ 6000 in credit cards. Shortly after graduating , loans accumulate and I have to start paying my student loans . I am working 2 jobs now, while going to school full time to try to reduce my credit card bills . With interest I'm paying ridiculous ( I took a cash advance for a family member , I guess I will never return ), the accounts are not getting lower. I've been making my payments religiously and pay more when I can. I called the bank and asked if any other options to help me because I'm having some trouble , I said I 've been doing a good job of making payments and I think only help people when they start to default . I really do not want to see my credit in the bathroom (although it probably is already) but not really, know what to do . Almost all the money I'm doing right now is to go directly to the credit card companies . I was hoping to consolidate bills, but I can not qualify for a consolidation loan. I am very stressed about this. What should I do ?
I'm 22- Should I file bankruptcy?0Lennnnnnn2012-10-13 01:34:19
I have 22 years old and $ 24,000 in credit card debt and $ 25,000 in student loans I have to start paying in two months . I talked to a credit counselor and asked their opinion on whether or not to make the program or file for bankruptcy . He could not give me a specific answer, but leaned toward bankruptcy . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I just graduated college and have a job making very little money and the debt is going to last more than 10 years , because my monthly payment ( with the credit counselor ) is very high . I know that even if I continue with credit counseling , will hurt my credit . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus My parents filed for bankruptcy five years ago and had no trouble getting a new car and built a brand new house with average interest rate . I know that some employers look at credit reports , but the credit counseling affect anyway. I just want to start over and need some advice. Appreciate it !
Should I file for bankruptcy or not?3Liath2012-09-22 09:41:03
I have a mortgage that is behind will probably be repossessed , a personal loan that I am behind and are threatening legal action , a credit card debt that I have not paid in two years , four different credit cards that makes the monthly payments on a car that makes the monthly payments and a collection of $ 500 against me from another company. I am unemployed and only receive 500 a month in unemployment . There is no way I can catch up on debts , it is inevitable that the house will get foreclosed , and I will be sued for the loan . I have no money to pay for a good bankruptcy lawyer .... anyway my credit is screwed for many years. Which is worse ? The filing bankruptcy , or be sued and foreclosed ?
When is it appropriate to file bankruptcy?1sherri r2012-09-15 20:34:07
My husband is 21 years , unfortunately , has made some terrible decisions in your life about money . Today is considered "high risk" for all loan companies you can think of, including credit BAD CREDIT NO troublemakers, lol . Now his (not mine , my name is not on it, and please remember , only recently became his wife ! ) Car is the inaugural . It goes from basic in January , and that will solve a lot of our money problems . However, we need this car , me and my daughter , while he is in basic education and up to date. How long did it take you to come get him ? And the real question I'm asking is - your credit is being horrible, and all this money because it is so terribly behind , if you just declare bankruptcy ? I know it will freeze the repository and we can at least keep the car . He is only 21, I know he's young , but your credit report is four pages long - should still shit . Would it be better to start again , even with a bankruptcy ? ( my credit is good . )
Should I file bankruptcy?0Bob Jones2012-09-28 07:40:03
Ok , I have 5 positive and 5 negative credit on my credit report . My boyfriend has 0 positive and negative 2. We both have a negative mark for a regular car . The two were in an accident ( not our fault ) and have been w / o transportation and a job b / c of the wreck . It caused a lot of things to become negative marks . MedlinePlus I do not see how I have positive b / c they could not afford anything other than the rent / electricity / water. We got some money from the insurance company for pain and suffering and lost wages . Today , I paid one of his negatives ( not the vehicle , but the credit card you have) ... and 3 credit cards that were negative . I'm still months behind on a loan ( which is still considered positive) . The other credit card I have never used and had closed a year ago. The other positive I'm making minimum payments on ( but it was two months later ) . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Therefore, all APRS have skyrocketed ... Combined , we are about debt 12-13000 (most being the vehicle , followed my loan and credit card ) . The APR on the vehicle is outrageous ... and more than double payments . Only ninth going into the vehicle ... another 8.9 goes to the finance charges . The vehicle is Honda credit card . MedlinePlus Should I file for bankruptcy ? What about bankruptcy within three years ( or less ) ? How does that ... display it in the future after three years ?
