I've been living in the U.S. for a year and a half and about 7 months ago I managed (somehow ) to get a car loan shared with my wife for $ 8,500 ( my wife is a student with a good credit score that helped) . I literally got my car loan from the last place I tried and I am happy to pay a higher APR because they had no choice , and I'm happy that someone handed me a credit. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus The car company has been reporting my payments to Equifax and so I signed up and have been following my credit on a regular basis , this is the only thing on my credit report and only reported to Equifax . Being new to the country of my credit score was zero for 7 months and it jumped to 650 after 2 or 3 months payments . Now I have reached the barrier of payment 6 months and have never missed a payment and yet my score has gone down in the last two months , is now 613. It is causing me problems as I really need to get a credit card , but I can not pass the credit check , I also wanted to have a store card to a local supercenter so you get a new computer I am now in desperate need to return but my credit score is degrading and not want to apply and refused to promote spoil my score. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I know I can get a secured credit card and that's my plan at this time , but why is my credit going down? I have not missed a payment and I have a high credit limit , I thought my credit would rise with each payment and not down ?
