In the army, can I get CLRP (College loan repayment) and then pay to get the post 9-11 GI Bill?0Goodman2012-09-16 23:55:06
Therefore, there is contradictory information aware of this. I asked my recruiter and he said he can only get a "benefit " for enlistment which seemed quite reasonable . So I said usually people use RAC for enlistment and then have the option to pay in the post 9-11 GI Bill during his second enlistment for use after his second term is over. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus But a little research on my own and found that there are people who have used both the RAC and paid into the post 9-11 GI Bill in his first enlistment . So what 's the problem ? For those in the military , or are in the process of incorporation , what you have experienced / heard ?
Can you qualify for the NAVY loan repayment program AND the GI Bill?0- 등으로 다른 단어와2012-09-22 22:19:02
I am not getting straight answers , even recruiters . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus First I was told that you have to choose between the two . Then I said you do not have to choose between the two , but you have to wait for your service to use the GI Bill . Finally , they said they would have to re-enlist after his service in order to get the GI bill at all ( assuming you also took the loan repayment program ) . I am very confused . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thank you !
G.I. Bill. $1,200 to sign up during second enlistment?2marty2012-10-11 03:36:02
During my first enlistment ( in the Navy ) , I will take the Loan Repayment Program . For my second enlistment , I will enroll in the GI Bill . A recruiter told me to my second enlistment , will cost me $ 1,200 to enroll in the GI Bill ( as it fell for the first time ) . Is this true ? Just checking. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus He said I could be kicked out of the Navy after my first enlistment , even if I am a good sailor , because they are getting flooded with applicants . I have the impression that he was trying to scare me into giving up the Loan Repayment Program . Can anyone give me the truth about what 's really going on ?

Under the New GI Bill, can service members who chose the Student Loan Repayment Plan now receive the GI Bill?0Ania2012-10-06 17:30:54
I have read the bill , but the gray area is in the "bar to double educational assistance benefits section ." In section B 3322 part reads : MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Inapplicability treated under Service Loan Repayment Program for Education , a period of service count for repayment of an education loan under chapter 109 of title 10 , can not be regarded as a period of service for entitlement educational assistance under this chapter . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Does this mean that if a service member completes his three years required to pay the student loan, and other services for three years, then you can also benefit from the new GI Bill ? In Maryland National Guard, does OCS enlistment option offer school loan repayment?1Nathan Bickerstaff2012-08-17 05:27:03
I was thinking of doing the OCS enlistment option in the MD Army National Guard and I've heard that if you enlist in this way do not provide money to pay school loans . I have about $ 20,000 in school loans and I would be relieved of that burden. Can anyone confirm if this is true ? It would also be helpful if you can provide some source that I could see ... thanks
Does the Navy *NO LONGER* offer Enlistment Bonuses and the college Loan Repayment Program?!?0vee2012-10-15 01:32:44
I've been talking to my local Navy recruiter publication research online websites like About.com, Navy.com, www.cool.navy.mil, and here at Yahoo! Answers, for about 5 months. I thought I had all the information I needed to make my decision and get what I wanted prior to MEPS at Maxwell AFB, but it seems that it was useless! MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I am a senior college, about to graduate in May 2011, and I have about $ 36,000 of debt. So I wanted the Loan Repayment Program Navy to pay it off. I wanted the CTI rating and saw for CTI bonds were between $ 8,000 and $ 12,000. I made a 99 on my AFQT and 132 on my DLAB. I was happy, I think I did well, I knew what he wanted, he was optimistic about my future. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Then, while in MEPS, I was called to the office to discuss my Navy rating, ship date, and see my contract. There was nothing in my contract about an enlistment bonus or loan repayment program. So I asked the guy, why not mention about these things, especially when explicitly to several of my interviewers that one of my main motivations was having my student loans paid off. The guy said they do not offer the Loan Repayment Program more. I asked what qualifications they offer it to. He said: "We are not giving anybody." Then I asked him, well what about enlistment bonus? He said only Navy SEALs get enlistment bonuses. I sat there, completely stunned, not sure how to respond. Of course, my first thought is, this is the opposite of all the things they had said internet sources and my recruiter. Therefore, I do not want to sign a contract based on being attracted and deceived. He then said: "If the PRL is available again in the near future, you will still be able to receive it." This sounded like BS to me, but I had never thought about making a plan B so I signed the damn contract anyway. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus A week has passed and still eats me up inside. I feel cheated and duped. Was this man is telling the truth? I'm beginning to suspect that just do not like for some reason, and would not let me do these things, even if they were available. Has anyone heard of this happening before? I write my Senator Jeff Sessions, who is also on the Armed Services Committee, or perhaps I should write another. But I have no idea if any good. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus So to summarize key issues: MedlinePlus 1. Has anyone heard of this before or did I totally BSED for deputies guy who hated me? MedlinePlus 2. If this is not normal (or even if it is), do I have any options to try to change things for me to reflect more accurately the statements made by the Navy website and other sources? MedlinePlus 3. Any other advice you could give would be greatly appreciated. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thanks, and I hope this does not happen to anyone else, at least ... let my story be a warning ... apparently I can not believe what I say, even the official website, it seems. If this is how they treat you just to get in, how badly they treat you once theirs?
