Credit score question? Very confused?

I'm thinking of buying a new car, so I searched my credit score to see if you would have a good chance of getting a loan . Says FICO credit score stands at 850, but some companies say that a credit score can go up to 900 and beyond. The company used to say that credit scores go up to 950 I think. So, I found my account and my credit is 828 and I got a "B " . Is this considered a good credit ? I looked up online and read anything over 800 is considered perfect credit , but then why would I be getting a "B " for my credit ? Would it be likely to get a loan to buy a car ?
