If I receive the $65000 Army College Loan Repayment, can I receive more money for college post army?0Kune2012-09-20 18:49:02
I'm thinking of joining the army in a few months after I graduated college with my BA . I'm thinking of signing a 3 years 5 years active IRR to receive full college loan . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus After serving my 3 years in the service would be able to get more money for college if I had to go back to school for my masters?
In the army, can I get CLRP (College loan repayment) and then pay to get the post 9-11 GI Bill?0Goodman2012-09-16 23:55:06
Therefore, there is contradictory information aware of this. I asked my recruiter and he said he can only get a "benefit " for enlistment which seemed quite reasonable . So I said usually people use RAC for enlistment and then have the option to pay in the post 9-11 GI Bill during his second enlistment for use after his second term is over. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus But a little research on my own and found that there are people who have used both the RAC and paid into the post 9-11 GI Bill in his first enlistment . So what 's the problem ? For those in the military , or are in the process of incorporation , what you have experienced / heard ?

If I join the SMP program for Army Rotc, how does that affect my ability to receive Student Loan Repayment?1nayibe2012-11-05 21:28:02
I am currently looking to join the Army ROTC program first enlist in the Army Reserve and then make the simultaneous membership program . I wondered if that route would affect my ability to use the Loan Repayment Program if the commission as active duty . According to the ROTC recruiter at my school , I would be getting the MGIB and MGIB kicker to help pay for the last two years of my education . From what I've read , in order to get the PRL should reject the MGIB , however , the only information I could find on this referred to the first-time recruits . Does it work the same way for commissioned officers on active duty ? In addition , he would be disqualified because he is not considered a first duty ? MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Ideally, I 'd like to do SMP to help pay my last two years of school , but I have a lot of school loans because I am technically an adult over credits , but switching over (it's a longer and deeper history that that) . I have about $ 30,000 in federal loans right now so it would be better for me to just do the LRP if I can not do both LRP and SMP . MedlinePlus I know this is a bit of confusion , but I hope someone can help me with this question . Also, if you could explain how you know your answer is true that would be much appreciated because I would like to avoid "hearing - say" if possible. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thank you !

Army college loan repayment ?0whale2012-10-03 16:53:18
I was thinking about joining the Marines , but because I have $ 20k in student loan I started looking in the other branches of the military (mostly ) college loan payment options . Stafford loans as it is I have no problem , but I read that you have to enlist in an MOS specific shortages in order to be eligible. Is this true ? I also call a recruiter and mention that it is something like the GI bill you qualify , but also noted that since the end of the fiscal year can be the change . If possible I would like to hear from anyone who has chosen this option instead of the GI Bill . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus thanks

Army or navy college loan repayment?0Rosy2012-10-04 05:52:39
when looking at what makes one eligible for payment option loans college I realize that " the soldier must join one of the critical military occupational specialties ( MOS ) . " I call an Army recruiter but did not give me a clear answer . Mention something about how things change and that the CLR is another option as the GI Bill . What I know of someone who has chosen CLR is that they were able to pick any MOS you were eligible , according to the ASVAB , or only makes since that is considered critical at the time?
Why hasn't the Army given me my Army College Fund and GI BILL?0Kaitelyn2012-10-26 02:28:02
I joined the army because of the Army College Fund / GI BILL . I served my desired time with an impeccable service record , but I've been honorably discharged . I have been going to college , have applied for benefits from a couple of months ago , but not a word about my ACF yet. I'm not even getting any GI Bill money , I paid $ 100 for the first 12 months I was in. I still call VA but have not received a definitive answer on what is in store monitoring . I'm about to lose hope . The biggest reason why I joined the Army in the first place was for the college money . But have not given me anything . I am considering taking legal action against the U.S. Army for breach of contract . But , do not really want to do this . Why can not honor my contract and I pay ? It's hard to be a full time college student with nothing to live on , but with scholarships and student work / loans . I feel cheated . Any advice is greatly appreciated. thank you
