I left the UK in the same year (2008) . I made only two payments ( because of the recession has not been paid) . However, I do the rest of the money payments to Lloyds TSB and Barclays both right now. Will I be in bankruptcy now? I can make the payment ? Both banks now? I travel to the UK for an urgent workpiece U.S. bk . well my bank accounts will be opened in the past three years . or banks would have closed ? Can anyone advise

Loans may have been dropped for now , but the problem could be if you try to open another bank account in the UK can be rejected . Your name will be on a list of defaulters and get loans, credit , mortgage etc can cause problems.

Chances are that both banks have already written off as bad loans and loans are sold for pennies on the dollar to a collection agency ( at least that's what happens in the United States) . Please contact individual banks to verify the status of each loan , as both can still be carrying loans .
