How will being over 60 days late on student loan affect my credit score?1Ashley's Dad2012-10-24 21:33:02
I did not know that it started sending electronic statements and only had to investigate to discover that. When I entered the site and put in my info , put it until my bill was due on 1/5/08 ( now is 03/07/08 ) and now owes $ 803. How can you just stop sending paper statments without notifying me first? I'm building a house and I know this will affect my credit because in the last "online " The statement says that the account is seriously deliquent and are reporting to the credit bureaus . ? I can doubt it? HELP ! !

I paid a student loan bill 13 days late. Will that go on my credit report?3Jaimy2012-11-05 01:57:02
I thought I had already paid the bill until I got a phone call saying that AES was 11 days late . I immediately went online to pay electronically , but only accept payment from Monday to Friday , so we ended up being 13 days late ( I tried to pay a Saturday ) . I have never paid a bill late and my credit score is excellent, so I would not have a spot like this in my report. Will this end up on my report ? If so, I can have it removed somehow?

Will paying my CHASE student loan ONE DAY LATE affect my credit?1stacy.2012-11-04 10:35:02
Hi all, MedlinePlus MedlinePlus My student loans were set to begin yesterday . In preparation , I can set up automatic debit my account to withdraw the 28th of each month . I thought it was fine , but apparently the auto debit takes a month to set up and automatically removed in the first , and since its inception in mid-November and my first payment on 28 November was not created for . I realized this morning that it had received a notice saying that my bank had withdrawn . I looked and no payment was made , so at 8 am today I made my payment which was due yesterday , has not yet posted to my account for any reason. I know this is getting a horrible start , but this drastically affect my credit ? I'm trying to get a new car , and if my credit score falls in the 500, because I was 8 hours late in paying me I'll be very pissed .

Anyway , still I have about $ 50,000 in student loan debt , federal and private . But that's it . Never had credit problems . How badly can a late loan payment affect your credit report?4parakeet2012-11-05 03:53:02
I graduated from college last May and since I got a good paying job last fall , I have been actively trying to build good credit . I got my first credit card a few months ago and have been paying all my bills and student loans on time and in full , no problems ... Until now . My mother takes me a letter to Sallie Mae that arrived last month , she apparently misplaced - that says I'm over 30 days late in paying the loan you just kicked in. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I paid immediately online , 56 days late . It kills me that this is going to affect my credit report (pay only $ 50 per month -argh ) when I have felt so above everything else. How bad will my credit be affected ? Is there anything I can do to mitigate the consequences of this?

Will student loans/car loan negatively affect credit score?0Norah2012-10-06 02:17:09
I recently completed my undergraduate studies and will be starting graduate school in August. I paid entirely by undergraduate scholarships and income from summer jobs / internships . I have several credit cards , but pay them in full each month, and I have no debt at all, my credit score from the three bureaus are 757, 735, and 761 . To pay for graduate school I have to make about $ 16,000 in federal student loans , I'm also thinking of taking a car loan for about $ 9,000 soon . Are these loans negatively affect my credit score ? I am very concerned about getting a good deal on a mortgage when I graduate and start working . Thank you !
