PLEASE DO NOT JUDGE . I want real advice , not a lecture to tell me how pathetic I am ---- when you walk in my shoes you can judge . Thanks in advance . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus First - I got married in my 20s and my ex husband ruined my credit . After leaving that mess ---- I stole two years later , financially destitute and the victim of a violent crime , I had to quit graduate school and I moved to another city for me to get back together . Your MedlinePlus taken years for me my life back. MedlinePlus Now , because of the circumstances regarding this 'm loaded with 100 g of unpaid medical bills , student loans 100 + in patience, and about 7500 in credit card debit . Also my husband ( remarried 1 year ) has a student loan of about 30 g credit cards and 5g . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Finally we both work and want to get our lives together. What should I do first ? I have only about 200 a month in revenue spending after making a strict budget . Not to be broken and miserable forever . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus I gave my car to a family member that was worth it and kept it - so we have no car. We also have only bought used furniture, clothes, and pack a lunch to give the idea of our lifestyle .... are not frivolous --- really trying to be responsible and move on. We live in a major city with a combined income of 35g personnel . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus ( We live in PA - . So we have not had to face wage garnishment ) MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Please tell me where to turn for advice to get myself together. MedlinePlus MedlinePlus Thank you.

If your debt is greater than your annual income is , you are technically bankrupt . Bankruptcy often do not recommend , however , with the amount of medical debt that I have recommend ( unless you and your spouse are making $ 200,000 / year or more ) . The bankruptcy will not discharge your student loans , so you still have to concentrate on paying down if you choose bankruptcy. Your credit card debt would soon bear fruit , and that is not much , however , medical debt is important . You may have to cut even more than they have to pay more money for their student loans . Find a cheaper place to rent , get rid of any phone (mobile or fixed ) , get rid of internet and cable ( if not already done ) , etc. All you need is the basics - food , rent , utilities required , the necessary household items and personal items . MedlinePlus MedlinePlus If you still have cable, check out " Til debt do us part " . It's on Saturday nights after Suze Orman on CNBC . These are couples who are in serious debt and this woman helps them reach a budget and pay your debts in the shortest possible time . It can give you ideas on more budget cuts and make him see that you can get rid of your student loans in a few years ... provided you are willing to live frugally for a bit . If you claim bankruptcy , get rid of credit cards and credit cards again . You do not need a credit card ( I do not) , and when you do not have access to , you learn to live cash only . Good luck to you!

Hello , I recommend seeing a financial planner , this can be arranged by a local welfare agency for free, you will be able to help. I would probably recommend you start by paying the highest interest debt first and so on .... Goodluck
