I just moved to Canada , and I miss some of my old favorite restaurants much ! Both , in fact, I've thought about opening a franchise of one of my favorites when my husband and I can get our sedentary enough to get a loan . MedlinePlus

I definentely consider opening a Cracker Barrel, as it is a true American restaurant and there are hardly any of them in foreign countries .

EDIT : Do not go with a franchise . As a former franchisor I know last grabs you on any gain . So I said what I said. Start your own restaurant .

It would be better to investigate and see the styles of restaurants around your area . See which franchise model would make no compition . Also: out on a limb and ask people on the streets of your city to the style of food appeals to most of them !

Out of the list , I've only eaten at Steak and Shake and Cracker Barrel. I would have to say Cracker Barrel is one of my favorite restaurants anyway, so I'll go with that. Yummy ! Now I'm craving chicken and dumplings with mashed potatoes and hash brown casserole . Boo : (

You could also consider O'Charley , Olive Garden and Ruby Tuesday . Of these , Olive Garden is my favorite !
